Big Bites
Big Bites is a Vietnamese restaurant in Mountain View, California, that offers a variety of dishes ranging from salads to pho to banh mi. The menu includes Vietnamese Chicken Salad, Papaya Salad, Jicama Salad, Chicken Pho, Veggie Pho, Beef Pho, Seafood Pho, Banh Mi sandwiches, and much more. The restaurant also offers catering services, making it a great option for events and parties.
One of the standout dishes at Big Bites is the Vietnamese Chicken Salad, which features shredded organic chicken with cabbage, carrots, and onions tossed in Vietnamese vinaigrette dressing. The combination of flavors and textures in this salad is truly delightful. Another popular item is the Pork Egg Rolls, which are crispy and flavorful.
I had the opportunity to try the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi during my visit, and I was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the bold flavors. The sandwich was packed with cucumber, pickled carrots, daikon, radish, jalapenos, cilantro, and aioli on a fresh-baked French baguette. It was a perfect balance of savory and tangy flavors.
The Veggie Pho at Big Bites is another must-try. Even if you're not a vegetarian, the combination of vegetables and broth in this dish is incredibly satisfying. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and the toppings add a nice crunch.
Overall, my experience at Big Bites was excellent. The restaurant has a casual yet classy atmosphere, making it suitable for both a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. The diverse menu options, including vegan and vegetarian choices, cater to a wide range of preferences. Whether you're a pho enthusiast or a banh mi aficionado, Big Bites has something for everyone. I highly recommend giving this Vietnamese gem a try.

I was very surprised how good this place was. We decided to get takeout, which I never like because the food is always better dining in, but it was last minute and the place was close. We got the curry chicken, banh mi, some pho and a few appetizers. After trying the shrimp bread I was like WHOA WHAT IS THIS?! Pretty blown away by the flavor. The curry was the 1-2 punch, also a fresh flavor bomb! I will say the pho and banh mi were decent but nothing as good as you can get in East SJ. Doesn't matter really tho because the other items were very good. Definitely will return!

The food here is great! I've both eaten in and had food to go. The Pho is amazing! I love their Thai Iced Tea and their spring rolls. I am gluten intolerant and geht have tons of choices. I hear their bread is good, too, though I can't try it

For the first time, I took a many people to Big Bites: there were 5 of us. We sat around a regular table, two people on each of the long sides and one person at one of the short sides, and we were comfortable, but the staff offered to move two tables together for us, so that is an option. There was nobody else but us: we essentially had the eatery to ourselves to enjoy a meal and conversation. The food was wonderful. I do not eat shrimp but even to me the shrimp spring rolls ordered by our party looked cute. Chicken pho is as good as fillet mignon pho I reviewed earlier. On a later occasion, we took pho to go to enjoy on a patio and I was amazed by how well the food was packed to go, with broth packaged separately.

I stopped in here to grab a sandwich for lunch. I order the pork banh mi. This is a very good sandwich, the bread was crispy and delicious as it should be in this sandwich. There weren't many people in the place, but you can see they do a good take out business. The only downside that I can see is they don't accept cash, it's cards only. I will go back here again sometime.
